An analysis of the topics on Physical Education in schools in graduate courses on Education stricto sensu in Brazil

The study evaluated the doctoral dissertations and Masters’ degree thesis focused on Physical Education at School from postgraduate courses in Education stricto sensu in Brazil. The sample included 171 academic productions written between 1980 and 2016. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistic and the chi-square test, with a level of significance of 95% (p<0.05). The results showed that more of these works were produced in the period between 2010 and 2016 (56.7%)and that 69.0% of the works were Diagnostic/Descriptive, 19.9% were of Intervention and 11.1% were about Background.
